What is DBL?


DBL first held in 2004 in Surabaya, Indonesia.
DBL spearheaded by Commissioner Azrul Ananda.
The name "DetEksi" Is taken from the title page of young people in daily Java Pos. DetEksi not
only present the news pages, but also held a number of events.DBL is wrong
only.
DBL is the first competition in Indonesia who developed the concept of a Student Athlete.
This concept considers schools as important as playingbasketball.
After four years of development in Surabaya, in 2008 DBLspread to ten provinces in Indonesia. In 2009, again spread to 15 provinces in Indonesia.
In 2008, DBL followed by more than 13,000 players and officials,witnessed by more than 210,000 spectators. In 2009, participantsincreased to more than 18,000 people, with the number ofviewers skyrocketed to more than 400,000 people. This makes the DBL as the biggest basketball competition in Indonesia, at any level.
In 2008, DBL became the first league in Indonesia in collaboration with the NBA.
The first NBA event in Indonesia was held in Surabaya DBLArena in August 2008. With a capacity of 5,000 spectators DBLArena broke ground on December 17, 2007, opened only sevenmonths later. Precisely on July 26, 2008.
From 2009, DBL fully professionally managed by DBL Indonesia.
From 2010, changed its name to DBL BASKETBALLDEVELOPMENT LEAGUE, while continuing to maintain the concept of a Student Athlete.

     Blue dog mascot DetEksi Java Pos. First appeared in September 2000. His eyes were closed, but has a magnifyingglass. That's because the Si Det not judge anything from that seen in front of the eye, he considered something of a more deep and detailed. The Det is also a big nose, have the ability to sniff out something that most people can not be captured.
     DBL logo evolved from year to year. Original blue and orange,in accordance with the original color DetEksi Java Pos. Is now aplain blue, is more flexible when juxtaposed with the color of thesupporting partners.
